No. We welcome anyone, whether you have volunteered before or not.

Yes, there will be a briefing before each activity begins.

Yes, our volunteering activities require a donation contribution fee to support the program, which also includes donations for beneficiaries. The amount varies depending on the type of activity and can be found in the activity description.

These volunteer activities require operational expenses such as materials, equipment, team coordination, and documentation. As a community-based organization, we do not yet have a permanent sponsor to cover all these costs.

Therefore, participants are asked to provide a donation contribution so that the activities can run smoothly and sustainably, and also as a sign of commitment to attend.

We understand that in other organizations, volunteer activities may not require a participation fee, and that is also a great approach. The model we currently use is shared contribution to ensure the program can continue running and deliver real impact.

The donation contribution is paid after you complete the registration form and are selected to join the activity. The payment method is via bank transfer to FoodCycle Indonesia under the name:

Yayasan Daur Pangan Nusantara.

BCA – 319 017 1034

Do not transfer to any account other than our official account listed above. FoodCycle is not responsible for any losses caused by fraudulent parties claiming to represent FoodCycle.

The results of the volunteer activities will be distributed to vulnerable communities and FoodCycle Indonesia’s partner organizations, such as low-income families, orphanages, nursing homes, and other vulnerable groups.

Of course! We warmly welcome community groups, schools, or companies that would like to join. Please contact us in advance to arrange the schedule and activities.

You can also support us by: (1) Donating food, money, or other necessities. (2) Sharing information about FoodCycle Indonesia with friends, family, and colleagues. (3) Collaborating with us for corporate CSR activities or other social events.

Yes. Our Corporate Volunteering program for companies and institutions like schools etc, is an initiative that allows employees, staff, or members of your organization to actively contribute to social or humanitarian activities on behalf of the institution. Our program is designed to strengthen values, increase engagement, and create a positive impact on the community. Please contact us to access a customized volunteer program for your institution through the available contact channels. Our team will respond to your inquiry promptly.

Participants usually arrange their own transportation. However, they may coordinate with others to share rides if possible.

To ensure smooth coordination, the donation contribution that has already been transferred is non-refundable. However, you may reschedule once or transfer your slot to a friend.

“Thank you, FoodCycle, for the opportunity to contribute alongside the team. From this experience, I learned to socialize better and developed empathy to appreciate food more and help others.”

– Hamsyaa, Volunteer

“At first I joined FoodCycle just to fill my free time while freelancing, but it turned out to be addictive and made me want to keep coming back. The activities—though simple, like sorting bread and vegetables—actually help reduce food waste and allow us to share with friends at foundations/orphanages. Wishing FoodCycle continued success—keep striving toward zero food waste!”

– Eisya Elokasari, Volunteer
